THE FOUNDER

Chicago native, William DuBose, displayed a distinct artistic ability at an early age. His early influences were public murals found on the city streets of Chicago.

During his adolescent years he studied of Romare Bearden, Archibald Motley, Jacob Lawrence and a host of other groundbreaking artists like Georgia O’keefe and Frida Kahlo. With this inspiration, he created and sold art work to many of his mentors and high school teachers.

"I was inspired by the colors, contrast and movement that I discovered in Chicago. I found myself sitting in front of the Frank Lloyd Home and Studio, admiring the composition of architecture in a 3-dimensional format. That's how my love for design began."

DuBose received his BS in Architecture from the prestigious University of Michigan. While working on his undergraduate degree, he completed studies at Oxford University in England as well as Morehouse College in Atlanta.

He completed his studies in Fine Arts and was later accepted into the School of Architecture at the University of Michigan, where he received his Masters Degree.

DuBose has served in the position of Adjunct Professor at both Stony Brook University and Pratt Institute in New York.  His skill and talents have been featured on HGTV.   DuBose currently serves as Co-chair of the Cool Culture Organization (an organization dedicated to helping over 50,000 income-eligible families access and enjoy 90 of NYC's world-class cultural institutions for free.)  A single dad who enjoys his career as much as his daughter Sienna, shares his time between New York and South Florida.
